Ingredients
2 packs Goya empanada wrapper
1 lb ground beef
3/4 cup shredded cheese
3 jalapeños diced
1/2 onion
3 cloves crushed garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 pack sazon
Salt to taste
2 Roma tomatoes diced
1 egg

Directions
1. Wash and dice your vegetables.
2. Sauté the onion and garlic. Add in the beef once and seasonings next. Continue to brown the beef and then add diced tomatoes.
3. Reduce the meat to medium low until the tomatoes begin to release the juice. Keep cooking until it evaporates.
4. Turn off the heat and let the filling cool for 30 minutes. This part is important to not get a soggy empanada.
5. Whisk the egg for egg wash.
6. Fill each dough with 1.5 tbsp of meat and crimp it close a fork or by twisting.
7. Brush with the egg wash and bake for 20 minutes at 400F.

Nope. Had em. Not as good if not deep fried in oil. Someone tried to convince me other wise. Trash. Even using an air fryer doesn't help. But if you enjoy em, enjoy em.
