I started researching these as one of the RV sites showed a collision between a deer and a Winnebago Travato. They are so inexpensive for the protection. However, one study showed at times there is not enough time for the deer to react if you're flying down the road at 75 MPH. Some deer can't react that fast.

I've always had them on all my vehicles... I mount them under my mirror so they are easy to check (that they're still there.. or don't have a dead bug obstructing the whistle)... every time I've seen a deer/elk/moose they turn away and dart into the woods. I was a park officer for 11 years, I ride motorcycle, and I've lived in areas with high wildlife traffic. So I've had more than average road experience. Only reason I'm watching is because I'm trying to find a video for a friend to prove how good they work. Thanks for the video by the way. Cheers (oh, and I did almost run into a bull moose once, when I bought a new bike and forgot to mount new whistles... he came right up on the road and I had to blow my horn and pull out of his way. I think if I had my whistles on, he wouldn't have come out of the ditch.

I’ve been using them for many years they work great.
I’m a retired truck driver and I put them on a semi I was driving. I had a issues but other truck drivers were hitting deer the same company.
We have them on most of our vehicles at home and only one that hit a deer, she didn’t have them on her car and she hit a deer cost around $300 and after that she asked me to put them on her car. We put them on her car and now she became a believer she has seen the deer scatter away from the road in the same area where she hit A deer. I’ve been using them for over 22 years personally.
I definitely recommend them but don’t forget people if your car is real dirty then whistles can be plugged up🤔 they can’t work if there plugged up it’s kind of a no brainer🤷‍♂️
And considering they’re only 5 to 10 bucks depending where you’re at. What the heck don’t forget you still have to keep your eyes open put your cell phone down and pay attention, see the big picture and watch on the left and right and way up in front of you and keep your eyes moving those all help lower your odds of getting into an accident🤷‍♂️

I have them on all my vehicles I don’t know if they actually work or not if it’s the whistles that are scaring them or if it’s the vehicles but I have seen lots of deer come up to the road and turn around and run away and I’ve seen Antelope too. For the price of them I figured if they work they work if they don’t they don’t if they work then good if not it’s worth a try for the price of them too.

Hello my instructions tell me to put the open-holed device on the drivers side. It says this “note that the device for the driver’s side of the bumper is open through the center” what should I do?

Actually you want to put the side with open hole on DRIVER side and closed hole on PASSENGER side. Not sure if this is effective 💯 but since I'm driving 7 years old car, it's worth a try. If this thing works, then I won't have to replace my car now and cars are pricey these days.
