Thanks for sharing this! Disappointing that the Haven Lounge doesn't have seating at the bar...surprising but no ship is perfect!

I appreciate all the great content...looking forward to boarding the Aqua myself on Monday!

My wife and I last sailed NCL in 2017 on the Escape. It was okay, but the smoking in the open air casino was a deal breaker for us as it traveled all through the ship as the casino was not far from midship and the main atrium. We could even at times smell smoke from our balcony cabin that was mid ship on deck 9 or 10, I believe.
The pools were really small for a ship that carried over 4K, so forget about using them. Lol.
We have been sailing Celebrity since then on a cruise in 2023 on one of their older ships Equinox as the itinerary was what we wanted, and trying a new cruise line was also exciting.
We had only sailed NCL twice and Carnival ounce before our 2023 cruise.
We enjoyed the premium upscale experience and definitely a different vibe from NCL and Carnival from our stateroom amenities in a Aqua class balcony stateroom to overall service, food and entertainment plus less passenger's at 2800 and hardly any children plus we actually got to use the pools onboard which was nice because it seems Celebrity has bigger pools and hot tubs and everything seems spaced out better across the ship as it never felt too crowded.
Celebrity seems to attract more adults as they don't have the water slides, race track etc etc. But we do sail in the months that kids are in school, though, which is why we didn't see any because Celebrity does have a kids / teens area.
We enjoyed celebrity enough to book a second cruise with them in an Aqua Sky Suite and the retreat experience on one of their newest edge class ships Ascent 3240 passenger's for March 2026. Still less than the 4K + we sailed with on NCL Escape in 2017.
We thought NCL is nice, but to be honest, IF we were to sail with them again, it's the Haven for us if it's all-inclusive?
My wife and will be 58 when we sail in 2026 and Celebrity Ascent Passenger count is about the max capacity we would want to do.

Actually we prefer smaller less crowded ships as we age and we actually have a 2027 Luxury cruise booked with Explora Journeys on Explora III for March 2027 with a passenger count of only 940 people. The ship has suites only and 5 pools and hot tubs for our 8 night / 9 day voyage embarking in Bridgetown Barbados & the deeper southern Caribbean and returning to Miami.
We are very interested to see how we like that cruise vs Celebrity in 2026.

Thanks again for sharing the Haven from NCL.

Drinks are not complimentary. One has to pay for that package and NCL tries to get everyone to pay for it regardless of your room category. You have to opt out of it if you want. It’s now part of MORE AT SEA instead of being called FREE ST SEA

Thanks, I normally cruise rccl suites, and I'm going to go on this ncl ship in the summer. So I know nothing of the haven. This video was helpful. Do you prefer the haven or rcl suite neighborhood?

interesting thing you said about a “complimentary” ultimate drink package. Are you saying this is different than what’s available to every other guest through the more at sea benefits?

To be thorough you should mention in your review that unlike other suite lounges, the NCL Prima Class ships do not serve any food in the lounge or allow Haven guest to eat any food in the Haven Bar/Lounge area.

Seems like a complete waste of space which explains why the lounge is almost empty most of the time.
