Mini GreenHouse - Things To Consider (IKEA Akerbar)

I bought this mini greenhouse from IKEA a while ago to help with my plant propagations. There are so many ways to "hack" this but I didnt find it necessary for me and what I need. I did add a bit of plastic wrap to help keep in some humidity but thats about it.

There are some things I learned about the Akerbar that I was aware of but all in all it was a right fit for me.

You can use weather strips around the perimeters to make the Ikea greenhouse more "air tight". Also, HomeGood stores will sometimes have various sizes of round glass containers with glass lids that can make a good green house. One day I might buy one of these jars and try growing a maiden hair fern in it.

A small Exo Terra terrarium is sturdier but pricier, also the top cover is mesh so it would require some type of adjustment to maintain humidity. An oversized plastic cloche is another option.

I had the same issue with the residue. I haven’t tried cleaning it yet, but I need to. Can you show how you have the plastic? And how would you recommend setting up if I’d like to use it for propagations as well?

Hi I followed this clip.Found that the screws or fasteners that came with the product just fell out.Nothing holding them in plave when I put them in.Anyone else have the same issue?
