Good evening! And thank you very much for tuning in for this walk around the heart of Pitlochry! A gorgeous town with some wonderful architecture and even more wonderful sights :)

However, while we walked through much of the town centre, we didn't get the chance to walk out onto the River Tummel. As we mentioned, Pitlochry Dam and the artificial loch are highlights of the river scenery, but over towards Port-na-Craig, you'll also find a smattering of pubs, as well as a huge theatre located on the hillside - the Pitlochry Festival Theatre! So, if you're in town, you can also head over there after taking a stroll and browse in the town centre :)

Greetings from South Africa!

I lived in this gorgeous town in the early 2000's for a year and went back in 2012 to visit it again.
It will remain one of my most beloved places in the world, such a beautiful town with really amazing people!

Your video was so lovely and it felt like I was walking there again, however I would have enjoyed more! There are so much more to see...will be waiting for an update.

Many thanks!

It's great to see where my ancestors once lived many hundreds/thousands of years ago.

Most enjoyable - thank you. I visited Pitlochry back in 1980-something, for a wedding. We took the train from London. It is a very attractive town, as your beautifully-shot video shows. I remember the stunning view from the dining room window at breakfast, across the loch - spectacular scenery. I bought a tartan skirt (Black Watch) being of Scottish descent - probably from the Highland Dress shop which, sadly, appears to have closed. I must try to make a return visit as it is a beautiful area. Thanks so much.

I can remember of this Scottish Souvenir Shop at the beginning of this video, and i have buy two postcards, the one with pictures from Pitlochry and the other was a picture from Glamis Castle, one of my favorite Castle in Scotland, where the legend says it will be haunted ! We have a short stay in Pitlochry, and after that, we had a ride to our hotel in Aviemore !

Awesome live walk in the town I enjoyed it. Very beautiful and historical the medieval buildings are and houses. Your walks are always enjoyable. And your history lessons are always great. How is your week going? Mine is going great. We have nice weather in Canada. Have a great day 😀😊

You’ve done it again, another great walk where we’ve been.
We had a couple of midweek breaks at the Pitlochry Hydro in November 2017 and again in March 2019 but strangely only had a walk round the village once.
We did manage to explore a lot of that side of Scotland though, including visiting filming locations of Outlander the first time and Culloden and Fort George the second as well as other places.
As I think I’ve said before we got to know the A9 very well.

Haha, that's a wee bit spooky. I seem to remember mentioning Pitlochry under the Grasmere video, just last week(ish).
