Hey friends! I think I am crazy.. anyone else reorganize their collection monthly or bi-monthly like me? Being someone that loves both board games and home organization this is something I just really genuinely LOVE doing. I hope you all enjoy this little reorganizing vlog! I'm sure I'll be doing it again in the future.

Organizing by color like you did was so satisfying 🤌🏽 I’m also in major need of doing a reorg bc my games are ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE. 🤣 but doing your roll & writes or like by mechanics I find to be really helpful for deciding for game night too! Thanks for bring us along 🙌🏽

That was such a chill and pleasant video. Felt super relaxed after it. Well done! For me personally, I organize by gameplay. So I have them grouped into the following categories: Traditional (think Monopoly and Chess), Party Games (Ultimate Werewolf, Joking Hazard), Deckbuilders, Co-op, Solo, Light Competitive (Machi Koro, King of Tokyo) and Euro Games/Heavier Competitive. And of course... one separate shelf just for Gloomhaven lol.

You could re-organize the shelves every week and I'd still watch ! This was so satisfying. I'm still shoving my games in every nook and cranny haha

I love reorganisation videos like this, especially as you get to see whats in your collection. You have many of my favs in your collection. I was so glad when you moved Scythe to the left side as i was watching and wishing you would put it there. The colour scheme looks fantastic. I wish i had that much shelving space.

I also have my collection organized by color and really like the way it turned out. The biggest difference from my scheme to yours is that I sorted left to right instead of top to bottom so the wall looks more like a big rainbow left to right. As an example for the red games I have one on each of the 4 shelves in an imaginary column instead of 4 on the same shelf. I also started with black on the far left and then moved into the rainbow from there and on the far right I ended with whites after the blues like how you have it.

I don't have that many games to organize
It's soo good to see games in different colored art

I know the feeling !
With over 500 games, I am running out of shelves and cupboards 😕😕
Found that having a big notebook and listing the games in different categories makes it easier to organize. However, the gamer addiction of adding all the time gets a bit messy.
Being a solo player I have accommodated tweaks for some games eg:Andor is easy but most are not !
Good to see that some gamers do actually review and play solo which makes me happy.
I cannot wait for the 're-release of S.O.S Titanic.
Anyway, more solo plays please.
Thanks.

LuL. I was wondering when you were going back to your organization roots vids. This is better because it involves games. Glad you didn’t change your background for vids games.

Fun video. I reorganize my games just about every time I purchase a new game. Nice to know that I am not the only one persistent in keeping up appearances.

Currently all of my games are in boxes because I am in the process of moving. Ugh. In the new house the basement living room will be the dedicated boardgame room. I have two 5x5 Kallax, two 2x3 Kallax like shelves, and a DVD stand that I use for my smaller games. In the past I have arranged by colour (very pretty but separates all the different Codenames and Catans from each other) I have done by theme and by designers. The most functional was alphabetically. In the past I had less space for the size of my collection (just under 450) and ended up butting a front facing game in each cubby. It looked great!! But made finding my other games more difficult. I need to figure out how to organize then in the new place. 🤔

SO crazy nice, definitely have a huge collection, and love the table set-up! The editing was unexpectedly therapeutic lol .... ok now, personal critique, I get the clean crisp and modern style of the room, idk, maybe some more wall-art, posters, large paintings/portraits perhaps, kinda looks like a game table setup in the hyperbolic time chamber lol other than that, absolutely lovely!~

A card game that you would totally love is Parade. Look into it, supports 2-6 players, plays in 30 minutes or less (total "filler") and is the same size as your Arboretum. Personally, I enjoyed the video. Please keep it up!

Hey! Where did you get your gaming table? I love it! Would also like to see a video about your typical gaming experience - who you play with, how often, how long, dinner or alcohol involved? Music? What’s it like?! Haha great channel, keep it up and good luck!

I am not organized with my games. I need to eventually, but do not have a great storage solution. I have a few old bookshelves and a few cheap Tarket square shelves.

I have over 700 games and expansions in my collection.
I’d love to do a reorg, but it’s going to be a massive undertaking.
I think I’ll wait until I move into a new house where packing up and reshelving is required anyway.
Good job on your reorganizing!

I organize for both function and space. Very broadly, I put lower player count games towards the left, higher player count games towards the right, lighter games towards the bottom and heavier games towards the top. The space atop the shelf is used for games that don't fit on the shelves. I have a separate set of shelves where all the small box games go and they are divided by the kind of vibe each game is (funny party games, bluffing or take that, word games, strategy games, abstracts for example).

I organize my games by shape/size/height and how they fit into the shelf. I do have a shelf full of roll and writes though. 😎

We just put all of our belongs in storage for the summer while we travel and transition to a new house in Aug. One thing I look forward to when we get into our new place is deciding how to organize our games and then going through the process. I'm still not sure what strategy I'll use, so this was some inspiration.

Love the "chill" vibe of your video! :) Great job on the organization of your games. I have upwards of 200 board games now in my collection. I have them organized by genre / mechanics. I also try to keep designers and publishers of games together as much as possible. Seems to have a nice, cohesive flow. Keep the great videos coming!!
