When you say Omicron is the deadliest variant to date, I do not know the meaning of deadly then? Because Omicron symptoms are mild and do not require hospitalization in most cases. How many infected people have died from Omicron?

In South Africa we were also told un-vaxed children are filling up the hospital ward only to find out later the numbers were not so high and most were incidental positive Omicron findings when tested before admittance for other unrelated medical conditions. Could this also be the case in the USA???

Hospitals are overwhelmed because of staffing shortages, not because of omicron. How many people have died or been admitted to hospital for omicron??

Wow, Palki, why are you pushing the vax? Kids may be getting ill, but with good honest medicine and supplements and care they will get better quickly. Many parents will be over-reacting and racing off to the emergency ward instead of following good sensible effective home treatment.

My 9 year old had mild covid symptoms. Low grade fever with throat pain and fatigue. Gave her a mixture of holy basil, pepper, turmeric, ginger and organic honey regularly. No fever from the next day and back to normal 4 days after. We regularly take herbal concoctions. No jab needed.

Well that seemed like the sort of half told story the CBC specializes in.
It was my understanding that Omicron was much faster spreading but the symptoms are much milder. Also it is my experience that parents with the means to do so will take children to the hospital with very little provocation.
How long are the hospital stays?
How serious are the symptoms?
How many are admitted versus examined and discharged?
Not the sort of story I had come to expect from WION.

This channel used to be objective and reasonable. More children are being admitted to hospital because healthcare is now in contention with rebound epidemics such as Influenza and RSV. Vaccine equity is incredibly important, I agree. However, vaccine indications for younger demographics is still narrow and questionable. It should be razor sharp focus on vulnerability and testing for seropravalence in children. We must apply the elements of risk stratification with ongoing vaccine campaigns.

In the past at the beginning of every school season the children would get sick and then they would make everybody in the household sick including the parents. Could be a cold or whatever. Some kids will get a fever of 101 plus. Felt like running to the emergency room and some parents did. This is probably what is going on here except we're all in fear now and you guys seem to be pushing it also
