I did this with a completely clear bottle and a crap load of led lights and a crap load of batteries it was very bright but it helped alot. Thanks!

its a good idea just put a resistor on the circuit so the leds doesn´t die too soon

Why wait until your sitting in the dark to try putting this together?Making some before the power goes out would be the SMART thing to do :)

Really cool, but you drew the schematic wrong (I know what you meant and you were on the right track), but switched power (switch) should have looked like an upside down "T" because you used a button switch in this case (I know you drew it for meaning a general switch), also LEDs are filled in diodes with a circle around them and two arrows pointing outward... I mean no trolling, sorry lol, just kind of habitual; schematics are very important to my line of work.

Hey, how do you know the amount of power is required for the lights, lets say I use 10 LEDs would I still only need a 8 volt?
