This happened a “long” time ago (February 2015), but my brother and i had a room booked at All Star Music (actually, i think one room for each of us.) We were trying to forget what we’d gone through with Dad dying in November, and i just called up Disney and booked our stay without any special offers or deals (i was too exhausted and upset to jump through hoops.) Our friend’s mother died exactly a month after Dad and he decided to take us up on the offer to join our trip. He was planning to stay at Shades of Green, but had retired from the Air Force as a master sargent a couple of years before and i think it would have been pricey, so he booked Coronado Springs instead. When my brother and i arrived at All Star Music to check in, we explained how we would be meeting up with our friend at Coronado Springs as a kind of celebration of our parents’ lives. Big delay - what the desk cast members did was to switch my brother and me to adjoining rooms at Coronado Springs, and drove us and our luggage over there! It was the most major piece of pixie dust! So the three of us were at the same resort and could have coffee together before going to the bus stop! I will never forget that kindness.

I tried booking a bounce back offer & the cast members at the front desk told me I had to call WDW reservations. When I called WDW reservations they had no idea what a bounce back offer was. I spoke to 4 WDW agents & I finally spoke to someone who knew what a bounce back offer was, but the resort I wanted, there were no rooms available. It was a big hassle. But you have a week from your check out date to use the bounce back offer.

Ya know, I'd argue that the hotel restaurants probably have better food than the parks(minus the really expensive park ones). The parks seem to have to serve nearly cruise ship numbers of people per day without the experienced chefs for that many people. That means fast cooking and not the most tasty outcome. The resorts, depending on level of luxury each hotel offers, have a more tailored culinary menu and better chefs. Resorts serve about 1/2 the numbers the parks do. I guess it's just my take on the matter. Correct me if I'm wrong AJ 😅

Going on our first ever Disney world trip in January and we are staying at pop century only me and my wife so think it should be good. Hopefully 🤞

Unless things have changed, it is possible to pre-pay a room only reservation gradually before check-in. I’ve been doing that for years. You can’t do it online or on MDE, you have to call and tell a CM you want to make a payment to bring down your balance. I hope this is still true!

I can vouch for the split stay. We tried it on a few trips and got to sample a few deluxe resorts on days we planned as hotel/pool days. We did the Caribbean Beach resort for the park heavier days, especially for Epcot and Hollywood Studios because of the skyliner access

My family and I are going to Disney in one week. We are staying at the suites at art of animation, for the first time. We usually stay at wilderness lodge. They were booked this time.

I'm really confused, I got a quote for a stay from a travel agency and did the numbers myself, it was cheaper when I did it on my own... Could it be because I'm planning over a year in advance?😮 I'd really appreciate your input
