This video will show you how to install new drum or parking brake shoes on your 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350. For drum brakes and parking brakes, shoes will eventually need to be replaced. If you are overhauling your rear brake system, or just need to replace worn out shoes.

This repair was done on a 2008 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic 3.5L Sedan 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2006 Mercedes-Benz E350
2007 Mercedes-Benz E350
2008 Mercedes-Benz E350
2009 Mercedes-Benz E350

Tools you will need:
• 18mm Wrench
• 18mm Socket
• Brake Caliper Compressor Tool. Single Piston. Screw Style.
• Pliers
• 3/8 Inch Impact Gun
• E10 Socket
• T30 Socket
• T40 Socket
• Brake Fluid
• Brake Parts Cleaner
• Safety Glasses
• Silicone Brake Parts Lubricant
• Wheel Chocks

Thank you-well filmed and clear. Am doing much the same on a 2008 Vito and they are almost identical, except for the pad fixings. I have one side of the hand brake jammed on and do not expect that will go as smoothly as your video...

i need to do this on my w211 but i will clean all the rust first is that ok?

Hi, thank you, well done. There is a snap fastener that you did not show. I think it goes between the shackle and the spring. Can someone point me to how to install it? Thanks

Advice to everybody, just buy a new set of springs and the thing, idk what it’s called, it will be much easier to change it next time
