Origami Octahedron

[Rather Simple] How to fold a square of paper into an inflatable octahedron that spins between your fingers. Best folded from duo (2-color) paper so that the cool 2-color pattern can be seen on the finished model.

This octahedron collapses flat and it can be inflated in two ways, either by pulling apart the two outer flaps or by inflating it with your mouth, but in order to inflate it you need to hold closed one of the holes so air won't escape.

Once it's inflated, it can spin in two ways, one by holding the top and bottom corners (as I show in the video) and two by holding the two fully white corners.

This octahedron can easily transform into an ornament by pulling out the inner part of a paperclip to form an S shape and then inserting half of the S into one of the holes in the model.

In its flat state this model can be flown as a flicker but you might want to curl it slightly to help keep the two white flaps flat against the model.
