Got an honest question for you... what's the point of this? You've already decided to censor games worldwide which Sony of America deems unfit for children, so why do you give parents the illusion of choice? It would seem that you already think you're better suited to make decisions for your entire user base, both children and adult, which suggests that you consider yourselves better suited to make parental decisions than actual parents (and also that you don't want parents or adults without children to be allowed to decide for themselves what they deem appropriate). Is this some sort of internal conflict or rivalry, with one team actually providing useful features, while another attempts to overstep their bounds in a manner that could in all honesty be considered corporate self-sabotage? Is it the result of mixed messages or internal confusion? Is it some belief in your own moral superiority, coupled with an egotistic notion that you have the right to force everyone else to comply with your beliefs and throw their own away? Is it a result of the politically-charged, (both supposed and actual) madness epidemic currently overtaking California? Or is something else afoot? I honestly want to know what's the root cause of your schizophrenic decisions of late.
