Came for the mic comparison. Stayed for the killer drum solo

Great video! Love the overhead layout and imagery of the mics (and of course the awesome drumming)! Thank you

to me the Shures have a more natural less boomy sound, but they still capture the highs, mids, and lows perfectly. Shure ftw

A mixture of the 2 is the best. 52 kick, 57 snare, f10 on toms. either OH mic are great

I bought the fusion kit years ago and every mic stopped working eventually. I opened them up to see the solder came undone. I bought the Shure set and they still work to this day, great demo!

Wow I know now why the SM57 is the snare microphone of choice.

both are awesome, i like the shure for the punchiness and probably sits in a full band mix a little better but lacks the warmth and low end the audix had, hard to say which is better

That cymbal with the rivets sounds so good :)

Its time everyone just admits what we've known for 50 years. Nothing beats a Shure mic. Especially the 57s

+1 for Audix set, more open and dynamic. More bass and punch on the kick.

The comparison for the shure kit should be with the DP7 pack (D6, i5, ADX51). The Fusion kit would be more comparable to the shure PGA kit

Audix F series is a good budget set of mics. The SM57-52 is just awesome (And not too expensive either). I've used the SM-81 as a hi-hat mic. They are pretty expensive at almost $400 a piece. But I might just buy another and try them as over-heads😛. Really good drummer. Nice 😉

Man! Audix sounds very good at low end.(floor tom) and so as sm57 for the snare. Both great sounding mics. I love them both.

being half the price the Audix sound even better for some genres imo, more roomy and more focused on what they take in

Which Sabian ride is that? Sounds amazing, the bell especially. One of those rides that becomes the center of the kit
