The length of your reverb is the amount of reflections in the room perceived by how long it takes until the reflections are not hearable anymore. This is in dependance of the Pre-Delay determing how far the distance between the reflecting walls is. A long reverb can be achieved in a big room, with parallel walls, but the very long reverb really occurs when you have rather more of a long tunnel shaped room - and this one does not have to be "big", it is a very long room.
