- I learnt to deal with people individually than generalizing. The 'church' where Denden was abused was where his healing came from. Denden told the pastor, 'you are different'. 😂 There are still good people, just that he knew only Pst. Lanre and tagged others 'Monster'. Abuse can come from anyone anywhere. It can be a Pastor, a teacher, boss, neighbor...
- We can't keep overemphasizing the importance of mentorship. Did you see the role the Pastor's wife played in Ego's life? Yeah, she knew she wanted what was best for her son, she still told her she rebelled. Submission is submission. In her words, ' you are called to submission as a woman. Obedience is not failing, it's a tool to obtain favour '. More like, i know you want to save your son, but obeying your husband is paramount.
- How Ego followed her husband with grace? Without having to nag him. Even when she didn't know the scar behind his decision?
- Afterwards, Denden turned his pain to purpose.
