Unlike most re-used animation turf wars I think this one makes sense, here we see malzeno un-enraged which allows him to focus on parrying and dodging rather that rushing in recklessly, essentially using the skill that primordial has because the quiro aren’t doing anything, meanwhile primordial’s strategy of block and punish wouldn’t work against a monster who loves to be in close range as much as magna, so he has to resort to a tactic he isn’t used to and is pressed to use the quiro energy beam
