After decades of cease and desists, Ferrari has finally taken their war on counterfeiting to the next level. The Italian supercar brand is notorious for their efforts to stamp out any fake parts, rip-off merchandise, and replica cars. Now, they may have finally done it with their new Anti-Counterfeit Reward Scheme.

This video isn't car buying advice, I am not paid by nor affiliated with the brands featured. Remember to do your own research before considering any of these vehicles, as I cannot guarantee their legitimacy.

Ferrari is the only brand that sues the fans that dream of owning one but can’t afford it.

After they killed the Purrari I lost all respect for them, because they'll even go after people that modify cars they've payed for and own.

Ferrari is an annoying company that doesn't make any sense, like if you buy a vehicle you should be able to modify it however you want but Ferrari will go after you if you swap in another engine and keep the Ferrari badging...hell they've done copyright claims on a YouTuber who had a custom exhaust because it "sounded like a Ferrari"

Ferrari refuses to understand the principle of PRIVATE PROPERTY. Once I buy a car, I own it. It's mine to do with how I please. If a manufacturer asks me to sign an agreement to the contrary, I'm not buying their product. If I wanted to lease a car, I would. As a consumer, I'm not leasing something for over 6 figures... it's ridiculous.

Let’s be honest, Lamborghini makes better looking cars as well. They actually are car lovers look up laser, Sterling he 3-D printed, an Aventador and Lamborghini sent him out a real Aventador to putt around for a week showing the admiration that they have for him for building a replica. That tells me everything I need to know about which car company I rock with.

So long as the replica companies do not infringe I don't care. If the public do it they should see the badge as a compliment or Ferrari should ask them to pay a small licensing fee. Its just a stupid badge so if someone had to pay $199 not a big deal. Considering how communistic they look they'd want a lot more $$$. If I owned a replica everyone would know its fake. I met someone with a fake 308 GTSi on a Pontiac frame and it not stretched frame so the wheels were tucked and body was weak looking. He would not show the motor but finally confessed.

Ferrari does exaggerate in some cases where they could close an eye, but overall, they are absolutely right in protecting their brand image as best as they can, especially when it comes to counterfeits and actions that undermine their reputation. There are also copyright and trademark laws that are made to protect the rightful owners. This includes logos but also shapes of products. Ferrari is not the only one trademarking the look of their cars, VW has done it, too, with the Beetle and the Bully, and Coca-Cola does it with its classic bottle design. So, before you try to replicate something and/or make cash with someone else's intellectual property and brand, be aware that you CAN face legal hassles.

keep it on the shelf where they need to be. Remember the dodge stealth outrunning the 512TR in the 80's

To realize the flaws of a car u have to be very in touch with a car, by that time u should have also realized thats its a replica even when u are not into cars, so i don't even see that as a valid point, that they dont want to lose their face because of cheap rip offs.
