SWU webinar: Stepping stones towards decent working conditions

The Social Workers Union (SWU) hosted this webinar exploring the stepping stones that social workers can take in the fight for decent working conditions. The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) CEO Ruth Allen chaired this webinar.

Organised by the SWU Campaign Fund, this webinar took place on Wednesday 2nd November 2022 at 6pm.

In the webinar, practising social workers and trade union officials explored how everyone can have a role in working towards better working conditions for social workers. Despite surveys highlighting how poor working conditions are forcing social workers out of the profession, SWU is keen to help people understand how taking action could improve their situation.

The webinar explored key topics such as part-time work, racial discrimination, neurodiversity, tackling burnout, and supporting people during the menopause.
