I don't even bother to pay my actual bills let alone a fake bill from a scam artist. It's a win wine for me.

I live in Georgia and I got one of these a couple of weeks ago. I don't even live near any toll booths!

I and my friends and coworkers have gotten dozens of these things. It's so sad, because innocent lives are ruined because of these crooks. Why don't these thieves do something useful for humanity and get a real job, and do something good for humanity. It's called having a CONSCIENCE!!!!

Youre exactly part of the reason why people arent getting scammed as often. You, and *Grind Techiei*, and others that put scammer in the spotlight and send them running. Keep doing what you do, you are a credit to the people.

Be suspicious of all texts from numbers you don’t know.

I got a text today, the number was from Illinois, it said I owed a toll to E-Z Pass for driving in New York.
The E-Z Pass office in in Wilmington, Delaware.
I've never had my car in New York, I'm in Kansas!
I blocked the number, and deleted it as well.

Please note that it is not smart to answer the phone unless you recognize the number. And certainly, it is not smart to engage in any conversation with Scammers because they may use AI to replicate your voice, and send messages on your behalf. It is best to use computer voice for your greeting on the phone.

How do people fall for these scams. They will never text you. They send you a piece of mail if you have unpaid tolls.

I keep getting this too. I am really upset how they keep trying, but I reported through my phone company, and this has to stop. There is no Toll in my state.

If a text is sent from an international telephone number or a strange email address it should be a red flag. It is sad people fall for this.

How do they know you live in that area and use those tolls? I live in AL and went to FL for Christmas and I got sent stuff but not tolls I took. How did they know my car and my phone number which I recently changed?

*GrindTechiei*, your efforts in fighting these scammers are truly commendable! We must do everything we can to shield the elderly and the public from these deceitful individuals. You're a true hero

With all of these scams going on. It's getting really hard to tell who's actually running a legitimate business these days. 🤔

I’m in Ohio & just got this text today. I didn’t click on it, just deleted & reported it as spam. It looked odd.

I'm getting this new text scam message, "Do you still want this cash?? We need to close your file today." Now I have no idea what this is cause I never sign up for a loan. I'm assuming they just want personal information about me, especially about my bank account. I didn't respond. 🙄

Just to add a bit. I started getting emails and texts from a couple of these scams. I had never seen one before. Maybe it was a coincidence but in my case I go through the tolls every couple months, not very often at all, but strangely enough I started getting these scams the day after I actually went through the tolls. Do they have some way of getting info from the toll systems so they can target people who actually DO owe legitimate tolls?
