I grew up listening to Brazilian music (sambas, funk, rock, pagodes) like Bezerra da Silva, Zeca Pagodinho, Secos e Molhados, Clube da Esquina, Titãs, Chico Buarque, Ratos de Porão, Banda Black Rio, Samba Schools... and also international artists like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bauhaus, Tom Waits, Nick Cave to name a few.

I had the pleasure to win the CALIFORNIA MUSIC AWARD for Outstanding Latin Alternative Album and the SF WEEKLY MUSIC AWARD for Best World Music in the Bay Area with my band Bat Makumba.

Right now I live in Switzerland and I am composing and playing with Custard Pie Power Funk, a band from the Border Triangle area of France, Switzerland and Germany.
