@0:19 No, it says "This is how you died, " not that you are going to die. It is just an intro and not a particular good one, so no need to read too much into it.
The best speedrun is IMHO from 0 to Louisville. These are the coordinates for the entry point: Coords: 12606 x 4161, Cell:42 x 13, Rel: 6 x 261. It is called "Hole in the Fence." You hotwire a car with a full tank and use the railroad at Southeast westpoint to get there asap.

I think a faster (and horrifically brutal) way to kill yourself is to remove all your clothes, smash a window, and go in and out of the window until you are covered in wounds, it kills you super quickly. That's how I was able to kill my character quickly when I wanted him dead.

Would be interesting to make challenges out of this, like a 100 zed kill speed run. Or a speed run to get a car and “escape” the map

I had an idea for how to make this game speedrun-able. Start in rosewood or riverside(whichever is further) and try to get to the Louisville bridge checkpoint as fast as you can. You can be on brink of death but as long as you hit the barrier you're good.
Crank the settings for zombies to be high population, with good sight, hearing and memory and try to make it in one piece. I think this game could have potential but I never speedran anything before so I dunno if it's a bad idea
