I tried this. When I click remove background it doesn't remove it from the text. The text still shows white.

You definitely need to show us where your cursor is cause I can't tell what you're clicking. And you doing more steps than you're mentioning. Like when you download the image, you need to de-select the other pages so you don't download them again.
