Ty Ty Nursery is also a great place to buy pecan trees, and you can visit them and see the nuts growing during the summer. Their pricing of pecan trees is very reasonable too.

My grandparents had one in the back yard. Favorite tree ever. Shade was amazing and the pecans always meaty. They had piled dirt about 3-4 feet around the trunk to flood it with water when it started looking dry. I don't know how old it was, but it was about 30 foot been there since I was born.

We have been blessed with so many producing pecan trees in our yard... all planted by squirrels. The problem is they're growing in places you don't want them to be. Once established, they are practically impossible to remove. Once we had to remove a mail box a few feet away to allow a tree for space.

Great video. I also use a calcium-based fertilizer that's no chemicals made by nectar for the Gods and it's an amazing fertilizer for pecan trees

Hi! I just identified some leaves from plants that appeared out of nowhere in my front yard - four of them and they are growing very quickly – identified on a plant identifier app as pecan trees. Is this possible? I am in Northern California. The leaf, with its pointed tip and serrated edges, looks exactly like the leaf of the pecan tree in photos. I have no idea why these trees would be going growing here except that I did feed pecans to wild turkeys for a while a few years back. Any ideas? Thanks

I moved into a house last year. The previous owner told me that we had or on trees in the front yard and it needed some lime or something. They are large and look good. But I don’t know how old they are. The property is only 14 years old. But there isn’t a pecan one anywhere on those trees. I’m not sure what the deal is.

So, what is the fastest way to get a tree to grow nuts? Would a cutting or air layer be better?

No pecans last year, but this year got a decent amount. Aphids and phylloxera have been giving us problems though.

Will the trees withstand the direct sun and extreme heat??

Estou com algumas mudas que gerei a partir da semente. Sei que levará alguns anos para darem frutos, mas penso no futuro. Vou plantar elas e as proximas gerações terão para consumir.
