This opening will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I have a pretty blurry memory of quite exactly happened, but when i was younger, i overheard this song through my bedroom door one year, and the melody had stuck with me since then. For years I had never known where it was from, except i knew the first few notes. I even remember one time looking up popular anime songs on YouTube, because i figured it sounded like something that might have been in an anime, knowing my dad watched a lot of it around that time when i was a child. I found one that sounded similar but I wasn’t completely satisfied with it. I gave up and figured that was that. All these years later, my dad suggested i watch an anime with him that he had watched years ago. I figured i might as well. As we finished season one i think? We moved on and were preparing to keep watching. That’s when I heard it. “Kakushiteta kanjou ga himei o aketeru Tashikana chikai wo te ni” I was flooded with memories. It was the song. I kind of cried. It was so beautiful. Until that point I had never heard the full thing. Anytime i listen to this song it reminds me of that day as a kid, wondering what that beautiful music came from. And now i know.

This is not an Anime OP, it's a masterpiece. This is the only OP that was able to make me cry, it's a shame that it was overshadowed by Crossing Field. Because Innocence is WAY BETTER than Crossing Field. Anyways, this is my all-time favorite anime OP, no other OP will take it's spot, ever, I can assure y'all
