TO EVERYONE THAT HAS SLOW IRON GOLEM SPAWING: tame 5 cats and give them name tags (idk if name tags are necessary). but when you have 5 cats tamed, the stray cats won’t spawn in leaving only the iron golems to spawn. i went from 1 golem per minute to 2 golems every 30 seconds

I just built the farm and it does work but there is a slight chance that the iron golums will spawn outside of the farm so I would highly recommend making a 7x7 Square perimeter around the farm of path blocks. Golums cant spawn on path blocks

If you’re struggling with golem spawns you can 1. Breed 4/5 cats around the farm 2. Place leaves 8 blocks out surrounding the entire farm 3. Don’t look at the place where the golems spawn while afking

As of February 5th, this is working. Built it in realms. It does take time to breed the villagers and wait for them to grow but after a while, this will work!

As of the current version, you only need 10 villagers for this to work, they just all need a workstation that they can access and 20 beds in the village

April 21 bedrock - added path blocks all around, and 5 tamed cats. It works, just has a slow iron golem spawn rate

I had every problem you could think of, no golems spawning at all but I found the solution to it all, make the farm in the sky my chest collection is at level 153 and it’s I’m getting 4 stacks of iron every 10 minutes and it’s working great and tame 4 cats not 5 and sit them down by the chest and I also but a zombie 10 blocks above the villagers it might not make a difference but I tried it. Hope this helps

If your struggling to get them to spawn go 7 blocks away and just build up a tower 15-20 blocks high seemed to work for me

Works perfectly for me, I built it high above an ocean with 20 villagers I transported, gollems spawn as soon as I placed the roof on the villagers

I built this and it worked, but spawning seemed a tadd slow, I asked A.I for help, and it recommended keeping villagers fed and ensuring they could actually access their beds.

several hours later, i am sat here with a none functioning iron farm!!!

I do think I have learnt two things though
- dont trust A.I recommendations
- Spawnable blocks are important, I used some Glass blocks to see into my tortured villagers, now that I have learnt they are "none spawnable blocks" I would recommend sticking to simple blocks (e.g. cobble stone)

As painful as it is, I may have to simply start again!

The only thing I would potentially advise, if you can manage it, is combining your iron farm and village trading hall

you have to be in chunk distance for restocks, and for iron golem respawns, so combining the two, would be more efficient from an AFK point of view . However that is part of the reason mine is now broken lol

I've rebuilt this so many times. It worked in my creative world so I was confident bringing it to my survival world. Actually putting the farm together is fairly easy (moving villagers is the worst part) but once they're in place they keep showing that they're desyncing from their beds and I haven't had any golems spawn. I don't know how to solve this problem.

as of march 26 it’s working perfectly fine. It only let me breed 10 villagers but it works thr exact same so i don’t really care. just have 5 tamed cats around the farm and you’ll get more golem spawns

Do I need to put path blocks so no iron golems spawn outside the intended area?

As of April 12 2025 this farm still works but would recommend putting 5 cats around the spawning area for more golems
