I don't know anything on the topic but i think you're a wizard. I just remembered reading about Lippmann photography in a magazine about 30 years ago, probably Юный Техник, which i remember being great, i'm so lucky to have had a subscription. Obviously my recollection is pretty vague, but at least i remembered enough relevant keywords that Google was able to figure out what i actually meant and give me the name. Been wondering whether someone was doing it these days.

Hey, so I was wondering if you ever resolved your problems with Galinstan? On thing that occured to me you could try use to use the light electrolyte solution of NaOH (or not use it at all) and try running a small amount of current through the Galinstan. Galinstan sort of de-sticks from surfaces under those conditions but it may of course, mess with your silver nitrate solution somehow.

Can you report more about your process? I would love to do plate photography and researching different processes brought up Lippmann as very interesting.
