These are the concerts that if you have to pay US$500 per ticket for a balcony...  YOU PAY THEM!  You will always remember that it was an experience that cannot be forgotten.  Sir Collins, Mr. Kissin and the whole orchestra were simply out of this world.

I am a Chinese, I have listening and enjoying Beethoven"s music for 40 years. Here is my comments on this GREAT MUSICIAN.
Beethoven's early music has certain factors that please the audience and pursue the melody of melody. By the time his music matures, his musical works with good melodies are also expressing his personal emotions, showing his personality, and achieving the unity of the individual and society. These melodies are not only personal, but also open to everyone's heart.
Beethoven's later works and later works are more deeply immersed in his heart, and he doesn't care about pleasing the audience. It is no longer easy to hear a smooth, singing melody. He completed the transition from musician to philosopher. These later works are more like his inner monologue, or, like his deep exploration of his own heart. In the same period and even more than 200 years later, I think that the exploration of the human spirit has never reached the level of Beethoven. Beethoven's music not only surpassed language, but also surpassed all the musicians in human history. He established an incomparable monument in the music world.
It can be said that Beethoven is an artist with the most profound impact on humanity. In terms of the broad and long-term impact, no writer or artist can surpass him.

It devastates one's heart knowing that Beethoven composed this to show his utter heartbreak to the world.

I studied literature. I have read a lot of Chinese and foreign literary classics. I have also studied some writers such as Li Bai and Du Fu in depth. I have also been obsessed with Shakespeare, Byron, Hemingway and Kafka. I also dabbled in philosophical classics from China and the West. I have studied Nietzsche ’s works. I have also read a lot of books on history, civilization, and art history ., But influenced me deepest is Beethoven. The voice of Beethoven permeates my soul.
People are not perfect, and life is not satisfied. No close partner, no harmonious affection can make up for the loneliness hidden in the snail's corner. The most painful injuries often come from the closest people. Therefore, loneliness is the essence of human being. In the deepest sense, this loneliness can only be confided to God, or echoed with Beethoven's soul.

This is the absolute best version of this piece that I have ever heard, and I've heard many at concerts I've attended. The tempo is perfect, the right tone, I mean EVERYTHING! His interpretation is simply phenomenal! This put tears in my eyes listening to Kissin play this. No other has ever done this. Not even LIVE.

BRAVO, Mr. Kissin, Bravo. Standing-O with much applause!

A sublime collaboration! Who could have produced so much more beauty after this ethereal second movt. And yet Beethoven gave us so many more gems till the end. Think of the second movement of the 7th and 9th symphonies.
How this piece makes us feel is I think what Beethoven always wanted. To make us compassionate and noble human beings. He certainly achieved it.

First movement is happiness, second movement is heart touching, maybe one of the most delicate pieces of music ever written. Third movement is joy and victory through the piano keys
