i've always considered cruz to be one of the least principled and least credible politicians in washington, but here i have to admit, it takes guts to go against trump, and i can appreciate that. it doesnt mean i'll ever vote for a fundamentalist christian, but i have to give credit where it's due, and will consider this the next time i seek to excoriate cruz and his followers.

This made me love Cruz even more, and I'm never voting for Trump. One of the few great statesmen left in America who isn't afraid to stand-up for his beliefs.

he was horrible how it was treated the fact that he is Hispanic could have been part of the issue I have never seen such a racist rally I was horrified I could not believe there were any Hispanics or blacks in the audience and I feel those that were there have the right to their opinion but I am mystified why they were there. I did Brave the entire convention and watched it let it not be said that those that oppose Trump are not listening carefully. I was not for Senator Cruz but after seeing that Fiasco I know but the Republicans are not about decency they are not about compromise and I already knew this because of the way Congress has behaved in this last 16 years. I am not ashamed to be an American but I am deeply embarrassed about the Republican Party. I am an independent now I have seen the truth... Even his wife was heckled what does that say about the people in that audience?

Good for him! It's one thing to believe in your party, but I'm glad he doesn't feel compelled to endorse Trump just because they're both republicans. Any two people within a party can be extremely different in which causes they most believe in, to what extent, and how they want to see issues dealt with. I admire Cruz's integrity here; this definitely couldn't have been easy for him to do in front of a crowd of Trump's supporters.
