The small, delicious nut corners sweeten the pre-Christmas period and are perfect for Advent coffee. The crumbly dough with fruity jam and a filling of hazelnuts and almonds goes well together. Decorated with chocolate, the nut corners not only look great, they also taste delicious.

🥗 Ingredients:
- Shortcrust -
150 grams of flour
½ tsp baking powder
50 grams of sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 egg
60 grams of butter
- Nut topping -
100 grams of butter
50 grams of sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
150 g hazelnuts, ground
70 g flaked almonds
2 tbsp jam
80-100 g couverture
🍳 Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, pinch of salt, egg and butter into a shortcrust pastry.
Line a small square baking tin with parchment paper.
Spread the dough on it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Spread the jam on it.
For the nut topping, melt the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar in a saucepan.
Stir in the hazelnuts and flaked almonds.
Spread the nut topping over the jam layer.
Bake the nut cake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes until golden.
Then let it cool down.
Cut the nut cake into small triangles.
Melt the couverture.
Decorate the nut corners with the liquid chocolate as you like and enjoy.
The nut wedges can be prepared with any type of nut and jam.
