"for a girl group" is such a backhanded compliment

It hit me when I saw Sulli. She always stood up for her values and beliefs despite the criticism from the media. She is a real symbol of strength for all women everywhere

the first clip frustrates me so much. there is so much ageism towards female idols in the kpop industry. male idols are allowed to age while women have an expiration date. women's careers shouldn't end at 25.

When sulli appeared, I started crying, why did the haters do that? She had so much life to live... So many dreams to fulfill

I'm so fascinated and proud of the fact that the 4th gen has been ruled mostly by women lately, in the sense of music trends, award shows, the songs with the most wins, the most talked about groups. I've been a fan of kpop for a fairly long time and seeing this is something i used to dream about. let's keep showing women's talents and the art they're. let's keep supporting each other, learning from each other. let's stop envying other girls instead let's start being inspired by them. let's break the mold, the generational courses and the unfair standards!

When sulli said it was nothing and she could fight it, the fact that we know she had committed suicide hurts to see how much she was going through.
It hurts to see herself in pain while we did nothing but watch.

The double standards in Kpop is absolutely disgusting, a male idol can get away with not giving his all on stage, performing shirtless, saying inappropriate things, supporting certain ideologies, however when a female idol wears a short skirt, lack energy on stage, speaks about her personal opinions, or even choose to live how she wants people and unfortunately ”women” bully her, disrespect her and harass her in every way

As a girl, this empowered me so much and I really love how these idols express themselves because it is reality. Best video I watched today! <3

OK... I just watched this video without really knowing what it's going to be about and I came out in tears. I was very moved and burst into tears when I saw Sulli. After this video, I've never loved being a woman so much.

this video is genuinely so reaffirming to me, ive always thought on how my life would've been so much easier if i was born a boy and that i hate the hardships we women have to go through just for being women. but after watching this video, it really showed me just how powerful we are and that i shouldn't hate these hardships, but instead break through them together as we work for a better future for ourselves. thank you ♥

3:57 4:10 I’m so happy seeing them being recognized for empowering women. Loona’s entire focus was embracing differences and showing that women can do anything.

this really got me emotional- i just had an argument with a girl who was literally sl*t shaming Jennie and bp saying they're p*rn stars just bc they were twerking on stage and wearing revealing outfits. Seriously why is it always women putting down fellow women 😭

Everyone should read kim jiyoung born 1982. When Irene read it people burnt her photocards and unstanned, when RM read it he was praised for being such a progressive idol and for supporting women. It’s a very good book, truly. I’ve only read some long sections online but if I can get my hands on it I will.

With all this hate that blackpink has been receiving lately when Lisa appeared I started crying and the fact that the hate is from fellow women from around the world is so unfortunate... These women are doing their very best everyday to present their best self let's appreciate them and their talent
