When we don't examine the food we consume, on how it would affect the environment and only see it as a way to make ourselves full or so satisfy our cravings, we'll worsen the environmental problems we have with the current food industry. There are ways that we could do to help lessen the environmental impacts brought about by the way we realize our food. Efficient food planning, cutting on the consumption of meats and increasing that of plant-based foods, opting for local produce and implementing/endorsing laws that will increase food produce while minimizing environmental damage are just some of the ways we could help in the efforts to save our planet through our food system. The choices we make on our food affects not only our own selves but also the land where we get it from. To make better food choices is essential to helping ourselves and the world that we live in.

Supply and demand are interdependent since they jointly determine the demands of the country, which leads to a lack of variety and options in the food available to the community. Having a solution for the ecological footprint concern can eliminate the issues that cause hunger and malnutrition. The advice provided for each nation should be flexible enough to accommodate changes that benefit not only the individual but also their food supply and environmental impact.

Action for a better Food System is one of the urgent issues that our world needs to pay attention to. Each year the world's population is growing and the demand for food is also increasing. Our resources are limited and yet we take advantage of it that results in a threat in the future and it is sad because still not all places have easy access to it and a big percent goes to food waste. As future NDs it is our responsibility to share to the masses our knowledge and expertise for the world to know and practice food sustainability and reducing food waste to create a better future for everyone.

We have been progressively exceeding the Earth's annual ecological budget, and the date of overshoot day has soared the calendar. Despite utilizing far too many of the Earth's resources, many people's demands remain unfulfilled. As nutrition students, the ecological footprint of the community lies in our capability to inform and assist to create a healthier food system. Countries around the world such as France, Japan, and Italy are already taking action towards having less ecological footprint, and it is now our turn to also take a step in order to conserve and safeguard the Earth's ecological budget.

Why can't Canada donate almost expired food

The video depicts how there are insufficient supplies of natural resources since demand is greater than the overall supply of renewable resources. One-third of the food is wasted since not all the resources acquired are used. Because of this, we must find ways to reduce waste, like France's practice of donating nearly-expired foods rather than throwing them away, Japan's requirement for nutrition education in schools and that nation's emerging trend toward upcycling food and beverages, and Italy's sustainable agriculture, which adopted new methods to conserve water and boost crop growth. Therefore, in order to establish a healthier food system, we must choose and plan our food carefully, increase the amount of plant-based foods in our diet in place of components that require more resources, and buy seasonal foods from local markets. That is why my family practices sustainable dining, which may encourage equitable resource sharing and utilization, provide access to basic needs, and ensure a higher quality of life. These practices include reducing food waste by sharing our excess food with our neighbors or some stray dogs and cats in our community, purchasing only the necessary amount of food items from a local market, and adhering to the guidelines for the safe handling of leftover food. Each one of us needs to go forward with a more successful strategy to make progress for sustainability.
