I know this is such an "off topic" comment, but the guy at the table who is coordinating these press conference is really good at what he is doing. He will ask a question himself, like he did to Femke Bol, 6:30, when he noticed nobody was asking her anything, and thus got everyone involved. After that, reporters started asking her questions. I noticed he did that to the Brazilian Bronze medalist in the men's 400 hurdles also. I just like when people do things organized, like they got their act together.

I've got to give Femke Bol credit. She handled this interview with total class.

femke showed grace and sportsmanship through this interview. she was definitely disappointed (crying on the track with her family), but pulled herself together to answer questions and be happy for the winners. definitely happy for all 3 and wish for the best for their careers

All high school and college athletes should be required to watch this interview. All three ladies were respectful and humble at the same time.

Sydney is so humble, did all this on her birthday and hardly celebrated at all. Great without ego.

Three incredibly articulate professionals. I especially appreciated Femke Bol's gracious self reflection on what was clearly a disappointing race for her.

This was a great race. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone really showed up. To be the favorite and line up right next to Femke Bol and finish in world record time, shows she is the best in America and the world. Femke Bol is a great champion. No runner wins every race, but when you take third because you ran to win only. I have nothing but respect for her. Anna Cockrell, to take on the two best runners in the world, and run to win, I salute her also. What a great race by Anna taking silver.

One of the best post-race conferences ever. All of them displayed such grace, personality, and class.

What I love about this is that there is no bravado or strutting as there is for some other Olympic competitors. Just three women doing their best. Congratulations to all of you. And, yes, please exalt each other and potential newcomers to the mythic sub 50!

These women are so humble that I am so happy for all of them. What a class act.

Femke is such a class act. She seeked no excuses and was so honest about her poor performance. Huge respect for her character.

EDIT: In response to many fair comments: 52.15 was a poor performance *for Bol's standards*. To give some perspective:
It was even slower than her final in 2021 Tokyo Olympics where she ran 52.03. In 2022 she ran a bunch of 52s in the diamond leagues. In 2023 she ran 51.70 in the world champs final and 51.45 in London. One month before Paris Olympics she ran 50.95 in Switzerland and 51.30 in London.
And just to be clear: She would still have not beaten Syd's amazing world record but the silver would have been a walk in the park if she just did a normal run for her standards.
That is why I praise her character for finding no excuses after such a bad race for her :)

Not enough comments focused on the GOAT. So here I am. Sydney. I love you. Keep shining. Sub 50 is coming!

Track runners have the reputation for being very smart. It was very well reflected by these smart eloquent women.
