Looks like your talk went just OK and that's good! I'm impressed to see your mother proofread your slides with you. That's something I've NEVER experienced with my own parents! :)
I'm glad Scott was with you. I've felt that being with your loved one significantly reduced my emotional/mental stress. This year I was with my partner Kyoko when I gave a talk in Stockholm for Code BEAM STO 2019 for the first time in my overseas talk of Erlang/OTP. We've had a really good time there.
I guess your second talk will be an even better one. Keep it up!

Congrats on your success in delivering your first conference presentation!
