I want one, and have been rooting for them since day one. All startups, Tesla included, go through major issues in the beginning. Rivian will eventually get the major issues worked out.

A cheaper electric SUV from Ford would be great for the masses.
An electric Escape with range and toned down electronics to improve affordability would sell if mass produced.
The killer to EV's is the wait time, not every sale is well planned with time to wait.
Accidents and aged cars drive immediate needs, thus dealer stock is key.

Its a shame that people who put a down payment on the lower model (Explorer) version will now have to pay $6000 more for the Adventure version due to Rivian not making the Explorer version. Some how I knew as soon as the Government decides to give the people something (EV Tax Credit) these manufactures want to take that too.

This is the USA, don’t use kilometers for range. That’s for those other countries that aren’t as important. On a side note, that thing looks cool but the headlights are a little odd.

Rivian's biggest problem is that it isn't possible for them to make a profit on the R1T or R1S at the current pricing, no matter how many of them they can scale up to making.

I will never pay that much money for an electric version of the Ford Explorer. I think l would wait for the actual Explorer EV to come out

Rivian had delivered 6, 700 vehicles ( almost 90% of them R1Trucks ) till June 30 th .

We can chill with the titles that claim an electric vehicle is shocking the industry…. They aren’t. What is actually shocking the public right now is having less and less ability to afford food and bills now. No one cares about some over priced electric startup junk.
