I really like to use the Tartlette in bloom palette for grunge inspired makeup. It has some of those really nice pink reddish tones.

Underrated but the lorac matte pro palette is really perfect for having browns and also a mauve and burgundy shade. It's small so it's great to travel with and ridiculously easy to blend

My Venus palettes came in today and I've never really done eyeshadow right before. Followed a tutorial and it ended perfectly, even though I only have a small brush and a tiny brush. Quite fool proof, as you stated.

I love Rimmel London single eyeshadow VIP Pass - got it at Ulta for $3.49. Lovely satin brown ...just the one color all over the lid & underneath too. Their Millionaire is lovely too.

I really like the colours and tones that fit to the whole grunge vibes thing! So earthy but still intense and cool. I've been LIVING for the Viseart Neural Matte pallet lately.
I use it almost daily but of course you gotta mix some reds into it so I love makeup geek bitten and also the Manny MUA pallet, like the bottom row with Insomnia, mars and Aphrodite
