If not he will die trying

I'm curious about that to be honest, Kaido immensely disrespected all of the Supernovas because how comparatively weak they are to the old gen. But he even proposed an alliance to Big Mom despite they likely war filled past. So its hard to say how Kaido will take the L. If Gear 5th Luffy beats Kaido entirely by himself then i think its possible but If Luffy doesn't manage that much then its hard to say where the standard would land them. On one hand, most of the Supernova's were able to land their own damage on the Yonko. On the other hand, Kaido grew in an environment of kill or be killed essentially, which makes his idea of teamwork something only the weak would do. So this guy is really a wild card at this point. Unless he has some strange connection to Joy Boy in his past then I feel like he'll return at some point in the story, similar to what Crocodile did

My theory is that kaido will eventually help luffy and probably shanks in a fight against rocks. And the next arc I think will be mariejois arc where green bull does get robin and takes her to mariejois and the straw hats team up with the revolutionary army and they save Robin and Sabo.

But will he publicly show himself to attack green bull or secretly do it, since he's still hated in Wano

What i could imagine is that kaido will fight greenbull, but non will die, and kaido will take the part of Yamato. Wano has lost his guardian and kaido might have came to the conclusion to support Joy Boy, and with that Wano. This doesnt mean he will be nice or anything like that, but for joy boy he will do his part to support him, since he wants to die by his hands.

I think eventually Kaido would be killed by Greenbull as Kaido is badly damaged by the lava. I think Big Mom survives but due to the permanent lava damage she is not fit to be a Yonko due to the lava and her crew will overthrow her
