Forza Motorsport 6 Apex: GTX 970 vs R9 390 Gameplay Frame-Rate Test

Turn 10 hands in a beautiful PC version of Forza 6, designed around DirectX 12. But which is faster? R9 390 or GTX 970? On face of it, it's an AMD win, but what's up with that stutter?

The stutter comes from the xbox app games recording feature. You can turn it of in the settings of the app. Given that both, the app and forza are heavy backed by microsoft, it still fascinates me that the app game recording makes the game run so stuttery.

8x MSAA at 1440p is just too much. No need to destroy the clarity of the picture with that much AA. Though I get your philosophy, you wanted to stress the GPU's as much as possible, show how optimized the game is.

Been playing this for a couple of days and it's rather smooth and polished for a beta. Plays just like I hoped it would from my memories of Forza on the Xbox and Xbox 360. On an overclocked R9 380X it runs great at 1080p max settings. Best release on the universal windows platform thingy yet!

This game is sick, Digi Found should upload the video at 1440 though, since that's what it was recorded in. Peeps with only 1080p monitors would still be able to view
