@robbiethewombat- you are correct, sir. Save for Van Morrison, Phil was the only guy who could away with a tune like this. Brilliant opening narration, great guitar riff (reminiscent of Lou Reed's Sweet Jane), and such earnest vocals/lyrics! A great poet he was and so soulful...

I was so drawn to Thin Lizzy's music and I sensed something different about the lead singer and back then I couldn't figure it out, I always though maybe he is black and turns out he was, it's sad to me that the family was ashamed of him because of the love a white woman had for a black man, when are we going to learn that love and attraction is not about skin color though that may draw someone to a person, and who are other's to judge what they don't understand, without freedom from the past things can only get
