Eleiko Öppen Deadlift Bar Review: Best Trap Bar Available!

preview_player
Показать описание

The Eleiko Öppen Deadlift Bar is one of the only specialty bars Eleiko has come out with and features the typical refinement and simplicity of other Eleiko products. Essentially, the Öppen Deadlift Bar is an open-ended trap bar that utilizes their world-class barbells and knurling for handles and features a unique built-in jack that is extremely useful.

Although Eleiko hasn't ventured far outside of barbells and plates, I'm glad they have with this bar as it is the best on the market, in our opinion, as of this video. We don't use that monicker lightly, it's that good, although pricey.

Eleiko, Kabuki Strength, Prime Fitness, MB Power Center, ATX Power have all teased open-ended trap bars. Which one would you most likely buy?

Super nice, but holy smokes $799! I think they priced themselves out of 99% of garage gyms.

Squat Bar, Trap Bar and Farmers Handles= This. Hell yes; To me it's worth the price. No storage holders to buy, no Deadlift Jack to buy. This is a space saver with actual multiple use.

Excellent functionality!! One of my favorites features are the wide variety of use and the built in jack. It makes it easier to use, load and can be use in different ways. The open concept is an excellent idea. Yes, I agree a little bit pricey. Something different. Thank you for the great information you provide Coop

unless you do a ton of work with this thing, it's too high of a price point when an alternative (while not as nice) can still be functional at literally 1/4 of the price.

Will wait to see how much the others will cost.

Looking forward to the rep rack in the background review.

I'd most likely opt for an open trap bar that has two handle heights. The fact that this is $799 US with only one handle option takes it off the table for me, 100%.

I like Bells of Steel hex bar, rotating sleeves, sleeves same length as a regular bar. Aggressive knurling. Well made. Guaranteed to 700lbs. $199 CAD.

A specialty bar like this, I’d pay $$250-400. I think any more than that, and I’m out.

Just wanted to point one other advantage, for tall lifters, you usually work with the open end in the front, which allows for more leg room.

It could be used for Zercher Squats as well.

Great review Coop... Just to clarify though, Hampton Fitness has had a hex/trap bar with built in jack for probably 3 years now. I've had my Hampton bar for at least that long so it's probably been out for longer... It's not super pretty but it works amazing and I love the bar. The knurling is quite aggressive and the handles pivot.

needs to include elevated handles on one side.

So if you train deadlifts, yoke exercises, farmers walk and you don’t have very much room other than your rack this would be Worth $800. Not needing to have an extra yolk (that takes up as much is some racks) just lying around it would be worthwhile. I bet it would be amazing for the zercher And just having something very different that was that are useful.

With a traditional Heck’s bar being able to step just a little bit without shredding your thighs or crotch with a heavy weight is so nice. I’ve also noticed how powerful it is to be able to take a little half step even if you’re close to your maximum weight as carryover to being flat footed and no movement for a traditional deadlift. I’m gonna go to my local Gym And show them how easy it is to rack and un rack weights I bet the owners gonna whip out his checkbook just to not have to deal with that crap anymore of “where’s the jack” or “who loaded this bar” after it rolled and broke a mirror.

Useable for Zercher squats too, and the wider tube makes it more comfortable.
