Very happy to finish this sketchbook, which is full of gouache landscapes. You've seen many of the pages here on my YouTube channel! For this scene I decided to paint the autumn mountains in Colorado. I'll demonstrate how to layer gouache, talk about water control, and show how I create different textures with gouache. #gouache

Sarah what I like a lot about your teaching is that you keep painting while talking instead of talking a lot and not painting! You are one of my favorites! I’m going to use little vignettes in my sketchbook. Thanks so much! I really like this painting. My gouache paints are coming from Amazon today and can’t wait to try them for the first time!🥁

I'm a year late to this video but this helped me SO much. I was focusing so much on details. I was my own enemy with landscapes. Thank you so much for the most helpful tips. I am now subscribed 🙌

I just love these videos, I'm sad I didn't discover your channel earlier, I am comfortable with watercolor, and I've just started using gouache, and I was very scared of it but your instructions are very helpful and all these videos are very calming too, hope you channel grows fast💙💙

Hi Sarah ! A thing I could not "stole" from you is your ability to paint a whole sketch with a large flat brush ! I am totally not able to do that. Congrats!

I stumbled across a true jet of a YT Channel when I discovered yours.

I first watched your Sketch book video and I really enjoyed your ability to bring atmosphere iin to you Gouache sketches. The atmosphere added a dimension that is often missing from other artists.

You certainly raise the bar high for the rest of us, and that is a good thing in oh so many ways.

I have subscribed and liked. I look forward to your past, present and future tutorials.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Very nice videos! I like watching these while I work on my own art. Have you considered using posca pens for situations where you need to overlay bits of bright color over existing paint? Like the yellow on the tree.

WOW amazing. To me it looks so easy, but i know how much training is behind this. I am on a similar journey, filling my sketchbook with one painting a day. Just discovered gouache. Any tips?

Gosh, you make it look easy! Do you prefer hot press or cold press paper in your sketchbooks?

Great page, but I wish I could see your mixing process (it's mostly out of shot) to see how you are making these muted colours from your primaries+black/white. That's what I'm most interested in.

Hi Sarah, I am really enjoying your videos and paintings :) A question: How do you place shadows on the rocks? They seem random but in the end they make sense. Whenever I do it, they make much less sense...
