I was on vacation in the Greece island of San Torini in August of -99, it was not planned, only pure luck that I managed to catch the total solar eclipse there at that time.

It's absolutely worth to travel quite a bit to experience a total solar eclipse.

The wind stopped blowing, the birds stopped singing - it never went pitch black, but instead there was a very spooky greyish light.

5/5, can recommend!

I live in New Brunswick Canada and I'm about 700M from the center line of the eclipse pathway. The funny thing is our weather in April usually SUCKS here in Canada. As an amateur astronomer I really thought that my best chances to see the darn thing without cloud cover would be to travel to either Mexico or to the USA. Well, I'm glad I'm sticking around here because it looks like we are going to be one of the places less covered by clouds on the eclipse path. So far clear skies for Rogersville New Brunswick Canada. Lets hope its stays that way. Happy Eclipse day!

Great layout of this upcoming eclipse Dr. Keating. I'll be watching from afar as I live in Ireland but I hope it's spectacular and nothing too crazy happens on the ground.

I'm about an hour's drive from the center of the path of totality, but I received a heads up from others who have traveled to see eclipses. They say even in lightly populated areas such as northwest Ohio there may be huge crowds, so I should plan to arrive several hours early.

Exercise caution with science channels of _this_ nature. Individuals such as Keating are merely proponents of *scientism.* For them, "science" serves as a form of quasi-religion. It's important to recognize that science is beneficial primarily to those who are capable of practicing it, and its relevance is limited to specific periods. Over time, like all fields of study, science will be eclipsed (pun intended 🌒😁) by other disciplines such as sociology, human psychology, and notably, considerations of "race".
