arduino through tcp/ip

php page on server takes input from user and stores it in mysql.
other php page reads tha latest entry from mysql and displays it.
Arduino connects to server and reads the display and moves the servo accordingly
the number displayed= degree of rotation

it was ethernet sheild. and if i remember correctly I still can't use the shield with stand alone power source... the way it worked was: sheild connects to my server on a page X. I set up a another page Y that feeds values to page X. the user goes on page Y, changes the number and the arduino reads it ... My memories are vague. I will be reworking this project next vacation
