Since colonel didnt mention an important detail about Raise dead i'll drop it here for any new player:

To create a battle site your army and the enemy's army must have 15 units each and there must be at least 1500 casualties so you want the max casualties possible.


After the rework we can make horde armies so i suggest making armies that are full of zombies and skeletons backed up by the main army so they tire out the enemy so the main army can clean up all the while keeping casualties high!

Hi! I use the Borderlands like a infinity wallet by raiding it many times, meanwhile I subjugate some empire subfaction to make trade gaining a lot of money that I use to build the expensive vampire buildings and to destroy the Empire and the various dwarf faction then I let the ork allies to occupate the mountains. So I have the empire subfaction to face the chaos from the north and orks subfactions to protect my mountains borders and I'm free to conquest Bretonnia. When and if the Chaos armies come to me I enought strong to face them.

the vampire counts are my favorite undead faction in warhammer more so than the tomb kings. i love the raise dead and corruption attributes.it seems no matter what game i play there is always vampiric influence in there somewhere.

if you recruit a second lord as mannfred on t1 and recruit/raise dead, its not hard to wipe out the enemy faction, have the whole province, and castle templehof by t2 or t3. doesnt require any luck either.
If you want castle templehof by t2, it helps to make an enemy army march to the edge of it, but not garrisoned inside, so the garrison forces will reinforce it. (That way you won't have to capture the walls with a damaged army)

I have another strategy with the von carstein faction, especially if you choose to begin with isabella (templehof has been destroyed in current version, and vampire counts have settlements in the beginning:
step one, attack vampire counts in turn 3 at drakenhof castle, to destroy their power; when done, destroy all your good units to have good economy: your power will come from your vampires.
After, take all the sylvania, except one settlements like i did for keep manfred alive and he can give you kisses;


all what you need are:
1/ your heroes vampire in isabella army
2/ 4 wolf when you fight empire, for destroy the flee units
3/ all the skeleton you want, to have massive army, without payments, as if totally useful


if you good micromanage, that is enough for destroy empire, you will have + 4000 gold per turn on the less easily, and can build a strong economy, what is a dark point for vampires...

How do you make dark magic (money) as these guys? Seems like their building chains (at least early game) are expensive with poor returns. I am worried other factions will take overtake me with their infrastructure and everyone hating me means once someone with allies declares war I am in trouble
