The annual Brand Finance Global 500 list has been released, showing us the top 10 most valuable auto brands of 2018. Each year, Brand Finance puts thousands of the world’s biggest brands to the test, evaluating which are the strongest and most valuable. This year, automakers continue to perform well on the overall list, with most of the top 10 falling within the top 100 overall.

Although this year Tesla was not in the top 10, it was the sixth-highest brand value change from 2017 to 2018, rising 106 percent to 308 overall. Last year, the American electric automaker wasn’t even in the top 500 of all brands. Here are the most valuable auto brands this year.

It may sound crazy but I believe Hyundai, kia, or genesis would make that list soon just by the fact that they have skyrocketed up the lost interviews of reliability, new luxury cars, hyundais N performance division, and they have a cash reserve of $106 billion that they are just sitting on that they use for development.

What is happening? I agree that Toyota is second but Mercedes Benz no 1? No its not gonna happen because Lexus is the right no 1 spot in the most valueble brand

Eh can't complain with the list. At least they didn't add Chrysler.

Jeep is going to improve it's value because of the fact that it sells suvs and crossovers, which in case nobody noticed, are very popular.

This is a rubbish list I must say, the gap in value and.worth between Toyota and Mercedes-Benz is like double minimum. The real lists according to Forbes and other top rated sites puts Toyota as no 1, I don't understand why VW, Porsche and Audi are separate on this list. They are all owned by one company i.e Vw. There are several better lists from more credible authorities. Mercedes-Benz is a luxury manufacturer, its highest selling car by a mile is the c class which sold about 370k last year in 2017. Do you know how many Toyota models beat that flat? The Corolla, the Camry, the Prius, the Rav 4, highlander all beat what the C class did for the whole of 2017 globally.
