Surface Pro vs Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro - Minecraft

Both devices have the same core i5 cpu, 4gb of ram and 1080p screens... so you'd think performance would be the same. By the end of the video the surface pro has around 40 minutes of battery life left, while my Samsung still have 4.5 hours... so it all comes down to sheer performance vs DECENT battery life.

A lot of people are saying that the surface only has one sub port when it technically has DIFFERENCE right. Just thought I'd mention that. Also the pro is thinner and it does have a kick stand for all you people saying it does not.

You might look into the following Samsung settings:
Silent Mode: {Auto;Low;Off} # Basically anything but off forces the CPU and graphics to down lock
Eco Mode: Similar to Silent but not as severe
Max Performance: Assuming Silent is set to OFF {only off} and Eco Mode is disabled it sets intel TurboBoost to basically run all the time. Doesn't get that warm but really speeds up. Only works when connected to AC.

So what were these settings?

Silent mode off, the fans were kicking in. Eco mode off, and maximum performance on. this was only a rough comparison by the surface pro does achieve higher frame rates, but is not usually able to sustain them as the thermal throttling limit for it is 80 degrees. With the samsung it is able to sustain the minumum 17W of the cpu, but i have had the temperatures in the high 80's while gaming for a few hours.

Samsung has the Intel HD3000, while the Pro has the Intel HD4000, that could explain the difference.

Well, I am not a 'fanboy', whatever the fuck that is of Samsung, this is the very first time I've owned a piece of hardware from them, I have a Samsung washing machine but that's merely because of the fact that everything else was shit and expensive (I was on a budget then).

Now, can we just resolve this argument and agree that both devices have their pros and cons?
