"Too ambitious" I absolutely despise this phrase. It's like the person saying it to me is telling me I'll never reach my dreams. That I'm not enough to reach my dreams.

Certainly needed to hear this. I'm told to slow down quite often and I feel that if others saw and felt the vision I had, they would be as ambitious as I am too.

I've always felt like I dreamed too big and have so many ideas about how to move forward. It wasn't until this year that I really started to feel like I'm in my "flow" zone of the amount of work and projects that I am tackling, essentially maximizing my utility. But recently, I've found my drive to become almost greedy, like I need to continue to improve and accelerate or else I am failing. This actually has created a set back in my life that led me to find your video about failure and set backs. My setback hasn't actually set me back as I have accelerated my timeline so I was already ahead, which makes me wonder if maybe I was moving too fast. Nevertheless, it is hard to feel like you are good enough especially when there are so many success stories all around us, even if you are doing relatively well to the rest. Although I wouldn't tell a perfectly capable person of slowing themselves down, I do feel that there is a timing for everything and sprinting through life isn't going to necessarily create a happy and accomplished life.

This is such a perennial topic. One of the things I talk about with my clients is the idea of "dream scale shame" - where someone else is telling you to hold back (or go harder), dream smaller (or bigger), and you KNOW that what you're doing is exactly what you're supposed to be doing - regardless of how comfortable THEY feel about it. Sometimes we're put in situations like that because we're called to be the change we want to see in the world.

Imo sometimes being too ambitious is so overwhelming and most of the times it changes to perfectionism without even realizing this..so you'll never get satisfied but yeah you'll be successful

Great advice, as usual! I consider myself a very ambitious person and people often tell me to slow down usually because they see me working too much and have no idea how I do it. Like you said, it is truly a gift to have so much passion and drive. When you do what you love, the momentum is just there. :)

Yes!! I HATE when people tell me “not to quit my day job” when I tell them about my biggest dreams and ambitions. Drives me bonkers!! But, as you said, consider the source! im so glad you created this video because I always have so many ideas and I get people telling me to slow down because of all the things that I want to work on. And I feel like its a gift and if i dont start on certain things it will fade away. but this really helped me put things into perspective

Dear Marie

I came to the park where I am alone and decided to just search too ambitious and guess I found you as my first video.

First of all I had a stroke last year with all the stress and adversity in my life as my tears fell only from one eye alone in the park in the afternoon.

My tears fell because I have been tired fighting on building a city master plan for a smart city for 5 years before it's become a hot topic today.

I am always ahead don't know why and it's difficult to find people to digest my ideas before time as they are not ready for it.

I focus on urban smart cities and focus on how to give back to humanity from all my ideas.
