Maya broken project fix

When the textures won't load correctly on a project it is due to maya looking for the files somewhere else.

Here is how to stabilize your workflow so that all texture load correctly on any computer you use.

Thanks man, just saved me some time. Very useful and quick resolve. Useful when you have near 100 textures

Haha, This was drilled into us at school. Always create a new project, make sure all of your texture files are in your source images file.

When opening a different file from a different project, Open maya, set your project then open your scene file.

If you're going to be super picky (Which my school was) your image paths should read

There is a script floating about somewhere called 'File texture manager' which will read and let our redirect them all.

try - save as a .MA file - then use a text editor to search and replace the paths :)
way faster and scriptable. .

so i have to delete the front path of the file path even if i have 100 textures? i have to delete 100 times? D=
