I have BMW650I 2007 all of a sudden after being out, tried to switch the car BUT the ignition won’t start. The car stayed at the garage overnight. The garage told me it’s a battery 🪫 issues. Had the battery replaced on warranty while the car was running. Switched the ignition off tried to switch the car on BUT it won’t start. I knew it wasn’t the battery. Took the car again on trailer to the same garage. He told me it’s the battery 🪫 again. Tried switching the car after trying it started. Decided to take the car home. I watched your video specifically focusing on the fob Keys battery. I always keep spare batteries at home. SO I replaced the fob key battery. Since no issues SO far. Keeping my fingers cross. I was considering the IVM supply power unit. SO far so good. Thank you SO much for identifying the fob key battery. The car with NO starting issues so far for the last four weeks. However am making sure the auto headlights are off during the daytime. Am checking the gear box sticker light it goes off after a while. One thing I would like to share Re electrical modular. When I switch the car off I could hear some noise in the dashboard passenger side. I am assuming it’s the IVM modular. The climate is extremely hot sometimes 48c during summer. Hope my contribution would help others to diagnose the issue by simple steps. The fob key battery 🪫 cost £2 very easy to replace, no need for programming whatsoever. The main car battery 🪫 cost around £150. These simple steps are important. 🙏

Dean, BMW Doctor your knowledge is outstanding, I've got a battery discharge over a couple of nights it isn't flat but the cluster info zeros ie clock to zero, mpg ect all to zero with a warning car on lift, and battery discharge shows up in writing. Ive taken it to be checked and they say there is no fault. I would love you to have a look at it as I believe you would find the fault. You don't live anywhere near Sheffield do you.

Hi, where is the fuel pump relay on the e60 530d (2006), my pump primes and shortly stops. Changed pump recently. I checked in fuse box in cabin, can't find it. The K96 relay.

I have a 2005 bmw 320d and i have replaced the ECU and Cas box and replaced the batery, the car cranks but the diesel injectors is not getting power what could be the problem?

How about a clutch switch for the manual cars? I have a no start issue, but I can push start the car. No clicking on attempt. So I'm thinking I have a clutch pedal switch issue. Do these cars have one?

Hello my friend, I have a question that has bothered me for several years. I have a BMW, e60, 2010 model. I noticed when I was walking on a mountain road for an hour, especially in the summer, and after stopping and turning off the engine, if I tried to turn the engine after a few minutes, I hit the predecessor and the engine does not rotate (it dings a little and then the rbm counter drops to zero) and I had to wait for about an hour for it to start again successfully, noting that there is no warning message on the screen and this I only noticed while walking on a mountain road uphill. HOPE U SEE THIS You most def you yo shi dawgy, i got a question i got a 06 235i was running good and all parked it one night next morning didn’t wanna turn on,
I would but key in and only light would come on break paddle was hard as well. I went and replaced my realy, 4, number 5 amp fuses and 2 big green 30 amp fues and it fired up was running it the whole day all good it was even running better then before 100%, night time comes I park it, morning comes and it don’t start up again, just doing basically the same thing as this car I put my key in no crank just lights come on and break paddle is hard still, it’s a push to start as well HOPE U SEE THIS DAWGY OR SOMEONE

Hi! We have the same problem on our BMW (E61 525d, 2005) where the car is cranking but not starting at all. We already tried changing: fuel filter, DDE power relay (the blue one), crankshaft sensor, and fuel pressure sensor. I really need help cause I cant think of anything other that could be the cause of cranking but not starting. When we start the car, all of the control lights come up. We also bought and installed a new battery. Thank you in advance for your help, if possible!

What about if have a car that is a crank no start, . Can this still apply, Does the Cas and DME still need re syncing ?

I have simular problem with no crank no start but after 10min of trying its does start and then it's start everytime but if I leave the car over night and then try to start I have same problem. But it seems in hot weather it usually start quicker but in colder weather it take long time time start it. And also after day or two it shows low battery. Something is draining battery.
Please any advice?

Hey doc, this anslem I've ran to brick wall with 05 545i bmw no crank it just makes an attempt and cut out it Came to me from another they said they clone the dme because the car dme was water logged can you possibly give me some help and what it will take form me to receive such assistance thanks in advance.

Got a no-crank on a E61. Happened mid drive, stalled it, couldn't get it started again. Starts without issue on a push start but not on a battery/starter pack.

I connected power to the front terminals (low enough voltage to not fry anything) and no current was flowing so Im suspecting gnd connection or a relay. Any thoughts are appreciated

anyone have any idea what to do with my E87 .Battery went totally flat car sat for 4 months i fully charged it getting 12.7 at the battery and at the terminals but just a click and whir sound no crank no start just Christmas Tree Dash the only thing i can see is the positive grounds from the battery to chasis have rusty bolts somehow inside the boot everything else looks normal also key fob works normal but has locked me out once or twice when its raining which concerns me any help appreciated
