you are still only getting 5 total, this just prioritizes who levels up quicker. you only loose out on shards if you place 1 unit not 5.

At level 30 you get 6 shards. I’m putting my Gloria, Beryl and Col.

just hit 51 and i hit the level 50 quest for 8 shards. but my two guys only capped at 3 each. gonna take 3 next time. i figure the final stage is 9 or 10.
