1998 was the last time I own a credit card. Paid it off in full and never got a credit card ever again. I been a cash man since that day forward. I was 36 debt free and now I'm 61 and still debt free. I paid cash for all my used vehicles and own my home out right at age 56. I grow my own food. I have a garden and a greenhouse. I try to be self-sufficient as much as possible. I'm in very good shape were as I stand now, than most American's.

We've always kept the thermostats down going back to the 1960s. Poverty, economic downturns have been around through history.

My credit score is 800 and I am homeless bevause of high rents and low pay. Credit score is not an end all and is only one tiny factor..most employers don't care about your score either.

I'm in AZ. We tend to not use the heat pump (heat or cool) from about the end of October until May 1. Just to save up and not die in the heat. I'd be over the moon at 68*f. In the summer time we keep it between 82-85*f. Have for years. With the budgeting plan that let's us pay about $130-146 a month, depending on how they adjust it.

Good video. Good education. All of us need to know how our credit score affects the interest we pay on loans.

credit and insurance scoring lacks data integrity and is a social engineering and social scoring tactic

I’m not well off but I’m not broke either… I’m FRUGAL… I garden pot what I use during the summer and I actually had enough potatoes to make it through winter and have a few ready to pot for this years crop… and I’m lucky enough to donate to our free store. At our twshp hall/fire department there is a little cupboard I call the PEOPLES PANTRY and I often put things in there .. with old prescription bottles I make little first aid kits or put cough drops/candy in them. We have some homeless here but it feels good to even re-gift presents…. Books deo toothpaste or brushes … just trying to pay it forward with what little I can❤️❤️❤️

Winter 2003/4. We got $735.30 a month in unemployment based on one summer internship. The state didnt pay into unemployment insurance on student jobs! We turned the heat to 55 degrees F in Portland, OR.

Credit Score does not mean anything now as the Banks are now using Debt To Income Ratio to determine if they will give you credit.

I run the heat til 9 pm then turn it from 69 to 64. Its only on upstairs 6pm to 9pm. Downstairs its on 5 am til 7 am then is turnened down to 64. Because only one person is home working and keeps the electric heater on in her office

I like it cold in my house - 50- 54 deg is just fine with me.
I get food from the local food bank (saves me hundreds a month)
I use my credit card sparingly and pay it off weekly.

A cooler house at night is fine. I put mine down at 65 and turn down during the day.

Pay off the CCs.
Paid car off
House paid for.
Limit expenses completely
Hard times ahead and must have an emergency fund. Pay utils ahead if at all possible. No cable and inexpensive phone plan.

Yes. We keep our heat turned down also and cover up if we get cold. Cutting Cost every where we can.

My heater doesn't go above 63° day or night. Have an older home with bad windows, not insulated, but bill still over $300 to $400
